Functional Capacity Evaluations

A functional capacity assessment determines a person’s current functional capacity and ability for certain work tasks.

Through a combination of both standardised and non-standardised assessment tools, Overland Health are able to evaluate the worker’s abilities and limitations against specific identified work related criteria.

A functional capacity assessment can be used as part of a return to work (RTW) plan, to assist and guide upgrades in fit notes and to help achieve agreed RTW goals prior to increase in suitable duties or permission to return to work.

These assessments are also a useful tool for determining a person’s capacity for work or for a particular job.

Our Occupational Rehabilitation services are specifically designed to assist Employment Service Providers and job seekers participating in Employment Services programs when FCEs are used for job seeking and redeployment purposes.
