Nationwide Occupational Rehabilitation Services

Overland Health’s range of Single Occupational Rehabilitation Services is a range of tailored ‘one-off’ services, each at fixed costs. They are aimed at quickly removing barriers to rehabilitation to achieve optimal outcomes and are measured against clear prognostic goals. We offer a range of single and combination rehabilitation assessments and/or interventions which deliver cost effective quality outcomes for our customers. Each of these services is crafted to rapidly eliminate any identified barriers to rehabilitation, resulting in safe, timely and durable return to work or function.

With support and guidance from our team, our customers can select and match the required service to the injured party’s needs. They can obtain timely and realistic recommendations which they can then continue to manage through Overland Health’s extended treatment and case management services, or independently.

Outcome-led Approach to Rehabilitation

Overland Health takes a risk-based approach to all cases. This drives an underlying emphasis on:

To minimise your business risk, we support our Occupational Rehabilitation Assessments with the level of specialist advice necessary in each and every case. Where this can be provided at lower cost by a GP, or local NHS services, we do this. However, we do not threaten outcomes by being hesitant in recommending specialists where risk is apparent.

Accurate Diagnostic Indicators

A current and correct diagnosis is paramount, and in a surprising number of cases is not available. Often the original diagnosis is not the current diagnosis. In many cases, early and limiting assessments about a person’ clinical state results in lengthy and costly case management. Often when a referral is made, the acute phase of a case will have expired and extended time with unguided case management which, without active rehabilitation, is not necessary and possibly detrimental.

Eliminating the ’Medicalization’ of Rehabilitation

In liaising with referrers or employers early we focus on translating the language from "medical-speak" to "work-speak". We bridge these two worlds with a focus on job retention and productivity maximisation as opposed to simple return to work and discharge by case managers.
